Event Overview:
The Western Slam Event is a dynamic showcase of basketball talent, scheduled to unfold from November 28 to November 30, 2024. Anchored at the renowned ENMAX Centre and Lethbridge College, this event promises to be a monumental occasion for both the basketball community and the Southern Alberta region. From November 28 to 30, four dynamic NCAA teams will engage in six intense games over three action-packed days, competing in the ENMAX Centre.

On Ice Entertainment is a Toronto based marketing events company with experience in organizing various sporting special events and projects over the past decades. The company owns and manages properties like Western Slam and Atlantic Slam. Jeff Dunlap serves as the Director of Competition and Tournament Director for Slam events.
Within the sports industry, we have collaborated with renowned entities such as NHL teams, NBA teams, La Liga, Championship teams, MLS Teams, and international soccer teams. Our portfolio includes organizing preseason and exhibition games, along with training camp events. Notably, we recently partnered with the Cities of Regina, Moncton, and Charlottetown to host international soccer events. Additionally, we played a pivotal role as a board member for the NHL Heritage Classic in Regina. In the hockey realm, we have established successful partnerships with teams in the NHL, AHL, and Major Junior ranks.

About ENMAX Centre:
As Lethbridge's premier event facility, the ENMAX Centre boasts 5,500 seats and features a standard NHL ice surface. It hosts a diverse range of events, from concerts and trade shows to unique attractions, all year round. This esteemed venue has witnessed many significant events, including High School Basketball Championships and international competitions like the Men’s World Curling Championships, Canadian University Men’s Hockey Championship, and Canadian Trampoline and Tumbling Championships.

About Lethbridge College:
Situated close to ENMAX Centre, Lethbridge College is not only home to the Men’s and Women’s Kodiaks Basketball teams, but also serves as a hub for various basketball programs and youth development activities. The Val Matteotti Gymnasium, a source of pride for Kodiaks Athletics and the college, is highly regarded within the ACAC. Built in 1988 and named after local legend Valerio Matteotti, the gym encompasses three full-size gymnasiums, covering 2,200 square meters, accommodating 2,000 spectators, and featuring three basketball courts, four volleyball courts, and 10 badminton courts.
